SABWA Annual Spring Board Meeting 

SABWA President Rick Stewart called meeting to order.

Secretary’s report: minutes from last year’s meeting and conference call were reviewed.

Treasurer’s report: financial reports were presented and approved. Total in savings March 31 $43,503.79. Checking April 20^th $101,857.42. 

Old Business:

- The SABWA website has been set up and will be updated as needed. It was decided that PayPal is not a good option for us as it is too costly. We will continue to offer payment by credit card through Grand Springs as they have provided that service in the past at no cost.

- New members campaign had some positive response. Three prospective members indicated they would be joining and one actually has but was unable to attend. We would like to add a member to the Board that focuses on new members.

- Attendance: supplier attendance is down this year. We need to push for both member and suppliers. Rick would like to ask Scott Kuehn and another suggestion was Mitch Turnipseed.

- Next year's meeting will beat this same location unless there are any requests to move elsewhere.Meeting dates for 2017:  April 20-21-22 (Easter April 16). No CPO testing will be offered.

 - Board of Directors: Rick will try to find a Secretary as a replacement for Kari.

 - Point out FSMA 2017 rules that are coming.

New business:

If you get a new company to sign up and pay membership, you get $100 refund on your registration (for each company/supplier that were not members in 2016).

Fall Education:

It is set up with Chris Dunn to do the 2^nd session of the four-part FSMA update. SABWA will cover Chris’s cost so all you will need to do is register. Do you have friends in the industry that aren’t members? They will be allowed to attend for no cost as well. This is a one-time offer to help educate bottlers and also try and get interest in the association. The date has been scheduled for Saturday, September 24. The location has not been determined.
